Girl on the Train

On the train today from Manchester the very attractive young lady sitting opposite takes a text message on her phone. As she reads it, I almost visibly see her heart rush up to her mouth and the tears well in her eyes. I'm moved, surprisingly, and slightly annoyed with myself that I've 'eavesdropped' on something very private. I hope the news was no more than her boyfriend dumping her. She'll get over that. Especially as he's so cowardly to end it by text.
